The Ribeira de Paúl or more simply, Paúl Valley, is a refuge for nature lovers and hikers. It might well be described as the green heart of the island. It's also the greenest valley of the entire Cape Verde Islands. Thanks to its climatic and geographical conditions, the region is primarily dedicated to agriculture.

There are plenty of options for you at Aldeia Manga, from five adobe bungalows to two large stone houses with a kitchen. Because the houses are spread out around the property and all have their own outdoor seating areas, you'll have plenty of privacy.
All units are equipped with their own bathroom, wash basin and shower (warm water). There are clotheslines to dry your laundry...

Absolutely magical place !We stayed 3 nights in Paul Valley and this was the best place to be.Our cottage Goiava on the top of the hill was spacious, clean and very nice. We had a wonderful view from our terrace and privacy.The swimming pond is natural and we enjoyed the swimming and jumping. But kindly note that there are fish and frogs and plants. It is not a swimming pool with blue chlorine water.The food was homemade and very tasty.We made a wonderful hike just from the property.The staff is friendly and even without English they take good care about you.We really recommend this place.

Peaceful and beautiful location deep in Paúl Valley. Room was spacious and comfortable. Excellent breakfast included and optional dinner of €15pp is reasonable value but does not include any drinks. They offer wash and dry laundry service which is priced well. Check in times are not explicitly clear. Listing states between 14:00 and 19:00, but after messaging the host he stated that it is normally until 18:00. For ourselves check in was delayed by the carnival celebrations but fortunately we were able to still arrive while staff are around.

Dit was een grote tegenvaller. De ligging is nog wel mooi met een vijver/ zwembad en mooie tuin. Je moet wel een groot aantal trappen omhoog of omlaag naar de weg ! Erg zwaar met koffers.Personeel ongeïnteresseerd. Krijg je geen contact mee. Kunnen ook bijna geen Engels. Receptie maar tot 15.30 aanwezig en is erg chagerijnig. Totaal geen zin in het werk. Huisjes eenvoudig met echt het puur noodzakelijke maar liggen erg mooi. Wordt niet schoon gemaakt ! Wij zaten er 3 nachten en niets gedaan. Hooguit 2 minuten warm water. Ontbijt erg karig en totaal onvoldoende. Je moet er op tijd zijn anders is het op. Ook diner ondermaats. Er zijn veel betere accommodaties in de omgeving. Deze links laten liggen.

Prima plek in de prachtige Paul vallei. Wel erg geïsoleerd tov andere faciliteiten. Je kunt er fantastisch wandelen. Service van de receptie was erg matig, diner prima, ontbijt voldoende. Kamers heel netjes.

Das Paradies Ein Kleinod mitten im Nirgendwo. Wir waren hier für 3 Nächte. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach eingerichtet aber alles sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist lecker mit frischem Obst und selbstgemachte Joghurt. Um 8 Uhr geht es los und man sollte pünktlich sein,denn um 8.30 sind eile Schüsseln schon leer. Bei Abendessen ist es ähnlich. Um 19 Uhr geht es los und man sollte auch nicht viel später kommen sonst gibt es nicht mehr alles. Die Anlage ist paradiesisch, mit einem kleinen Schwimmteich. Was braucht man mehr.Die Wanderungen in die Umgebung sind für ungeübte schon eine Herausforderung. Es gibt keine befestigten Wege und alles ist sehr steil. Dennoch ist es hier einfach nur wunderbar.
