The Ribeira de Paúl or more simply, Paúl Valley, is a refuge for nature lovers and hikers. It might well be described as the green heart of the island. It’s also the greenest valley of the entire Cape Verde Islands. Thanks to its climatic and geographical conditions, the region is primarily dedicated to agriculture.

There are plenty of options for you at Aldeia Manga, from five adobe bungalows to two large stone houses with a kitchen. Because the houses are spread out around the property and all have their own outdoor seating areas, you’ll have plenty of privacy.

We loved our stay at Papaya house! Watching sunrises in between of the mountains and the ocean every morning from the bed, hiking in the green mountain terraces, observing birds from a hammock and having delicious local meals - it all exceeded our expectations. Frederic welcomed us, offering a number of hiking options of varied difficulty and length, recommending us an excellent restaurant to try on the way, and helping with every question we had. The cafeteria offered delicious healthy meals throughout the day, including fresh local fruit and creatively cooked vegetables. We enjoyed swimming with the fish in the pond, spotting frogs at night and watching birds in the morning. Couldn't recommend it more!

Ein kleines Paradies auf Erden (oder zumindest im Paul-Tal). Doch dieses muss erst erarbeitet werden. Denn die Zufahrtsstrasse ist teils sehr steil, schmal und durchgehend einspurig. Darum empfehle ich allen Selbstfahrer einen 4x4. Zur Zeit wird an der Strasse gearbeitet. Zeitweise kamen die Busse nicht mehr nach hinten. Mit dem eigenen Auto braucht es einfach etwas mehr Zeit, bis sie einen Durchgang öffnen.Die letzten 50m bis zur Rezeption geht es die Treppen hinunter. Wir packten das nötigste in die Rucksäcke und liessen die Koffer beim Auto. Die Anlage ist mit vielen Pflanzen und verwinkelten Wegen gestaltet. Das Essen schmeckte hervorragend. Und vor allem, am Pool konnten wir uns erholen.

Daniel was very responsive to our questions and his front desk managers Frederico and Carlita were super friendly and helpful. The swimming pond was amazing and the little fish gave me a lovely foot spa every day. The views are stunning and the restaurant staff and housekeeping were friendly with always a smile. The other guests were fun to meet at breakfast and dinner with alot of shared hiking stories! We recommend Aldeia Manga and look forward to our next stay! Daniel is an attentive host 100%!

Magnifique endroit, nous y sommes allés à pied depuis le front de mer donc ça se mérite ! On a l'impression d'être dans un petit Oasis au milieu de nul part, exceptionnel. Logement le plus cher du séjour au Cap Vert mais ça reste très abordable.La petite piscine au milieu est top aprés une belle rando.Le repas le soir pour 15e est plus que copieux, ça vaut le coup.Le petit déj très bon.
